Trash Collection
EverYday, 10am-12pm
Our day starts off traveling to campsites in the North, Northeast and inner Southeast parts of Portland. We make various stops at campsites and provide their trash removal and hand out new trash bags. While there, we also hand out cold weather kits, hygiene kits, clothes, and snacks on days they are available. Volunteers are needed daily.
Mobile Clothing Unit
EverYday, 10am-12pm
While out working with the houseless providing services, we carry clothing for our most vulnerable. Our clothing is donated by people like you. We need men’s and women’s (of all sizes):
- Pants and Shirts
- New Undergarments
- Socks and Shoes
- Coats
Lunch/Groceries
Everyday, 10am-2pm
We pop up and serve our houseless a hot lunch along with sandwiches, water, and snacks at various locations around North/Northeast Portland. We also stock our pantry shelves to help assist families when in need, delivering to their front door if needed. We need food (or cash) donations, as well as volunteers to make the sack lunches/bags and deliveries.
Mobile Showers
Currently Fundraising
We are fundraising for a mobile shower unit so we can offer our houseless neighbors the basic hygiene facilities that so many of us are fortunate enough to take for granted. Our ambitious goal is to raise $75,000.00+ for the trailer and operating expenses like soap, shampoo, towels, blow dryers, and laundry services. Our team is collaborating with other organizations to help raise the necessary funds.

Thanksgiving week
Your financial support treats houseless residents to a hot beverage, a warm holiday meal, and social support — including referrals to services, warm accessories as the weather turns to winter. Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve the food.
Christmas Cheer
During Month of December
Every year we launch our Holiday project, where we try to help families that are struggling to give their loved ones the Christmas cheer they deserve. With the help of our generous donors and community members, we are able to provide gifts to those that may have gone without. Donate gifts or volunteer to deliver.

Your financial support helps ensure that Friends of Ours is able to cover the assorted costs that arise as we traverse our North, Northeast, and inner Southeast Portland neighborhoods — things like gas and insurance, volunteer training, and refreshments after a long shift. Your donation will be used where it is most needed.
